What is the difference between seamless steel pipe and seamed steel pipe

(1) seamless steel pipe is generally rolled from carbon steel or low-alloy structural steel, is the earliest application of steel pipe material, its cross-sectional area is larger, the unit area under pressure is smaller.

(2) Seamed steel pipes are mainly used to transport fluids. Due to the manufacturing can be welded, so the joint strength requirements are high, and to ensure that the joint has corrosion resistance and heat resistance, etc.

(3) Seamless steel pipe is mainly used in general machinery manufacturing, petroleum, chemical, electric power, construction and other industries, more widely used.

(4) from the manufacturing process, the manufacturing process of seamless steel pipe is more advanced, seamed steel pipe using relatively simple process methods.

(5) From the point of view of use, the difference between the two is not much, but the former is used to transport fluids and some solid particles, the latter is mainly used to transport fluids.
(6) From the material point of view, there is no significant difference between the two, mainly because the seamless steel pipe used in the material contains a variety of alloy components and lead to some differences in price.

(7) From the point of view of use, the former is mostly used in the load-bearing elements of building structures and railway highway bridges and other facilities; the latter is mostly used in petroleum, chemical, electric power, machinery manufacturing and other industries.

(8) From the point of view of cost, the former is better than the latter in terms of quality and price. The difference between seamless steel pipe and seamed steel pipe can be found from the above introduction: seamless steel pipe is mainly used to transport fluids; and seamed steel pipe is used to transport fluids, solids, etc..

But under the same conditions the use of seamless steel pipe can be transported larger diameter fluid and some solid particles, and for the pipeline system seamless steel pipe is more corrosion-resistant than seamed steel pipe, long service life;
